Nigerian Content Policy Statement

Ocean Vessels Integrated Services Limited (OVISL) is fully committed to the development and promotion of Nigerian Content in line with the provisions of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development (NOGICD) Act, 2010.

We recognize that Nigerian Content development is a strategic imperative for sustainable growth and national development. Accordingly, our policy is to ensure maximum utilization of Nigerian human and material resources in all our operations and service delivery across the oil and gas value chain.

Our commitments include:

  • Prioritizing the employment and training of Nigerian citizens at all levels of our operations to build capacity, technical expertise, and leadership within the Nigerian workforce.
  • Sourcing materials, equipment, and services locally, and collaborating with local manufacturers and service providers to build a robust domestic supply chain.
  • Promoting knowledge transfer and technology domestication through partnerships and capacity-building initiatives that strengthen local industry capabilities.
  • Working with Nigerian vendors, subcontractors, and service providers, especially those with proven competence and compliance with Nigerian Content requirements.
  • Supporting indigenous marine and offshore development, by ensuring the acquisition, charter, and operation of vessels comply with Cabotage laws and Nigerian Content regulations.
  • Adhering strictly to the NCDMB guidelines, reporting obligations, and directives to ensure transparency, compliance, and accountability in all Nigerian Content matters.

OVISL’s management will continuously assess and improve its Nigerian Content performance and foster strong relationships with the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) and other regulatory stakeholders to align with national objectives.

This policy is communicated to all employees, partners, and contractors, and shall be reviewed regularly to remain relevant and effective.
